The designation ‘Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG’ identifies the geographical area in which Prosecco wine is produced. Furthermore, the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG area is also the cradle of the culture and historical heritage associated with the world of Prosecco. Geographically, it is characterised by a succession of gentle slopes that seamlessly link the territories between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, in the province of Treviso. It is precisely this landscape that was recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019. The Prosecco DOCG produced in this area is the finest Prosecco available on the market: made from Glera grapes grown on slopes that are still cultivated by hand. Special mention must also be made of Cartizze, which is the most prized cru of Prosecco Superiore di Valdobbiadene DOCG.
