Gregoletto

Gregoletto's vineyards roll across the hills of Premaor, San Pietro di Feletto and Refrontolo, with views straight out of a fairy tale. A foretaste awaits in the original winery, still housed in a 17th-century building in Premaor, where illustrations in the visitor area portray them. Inside, history steals the show: ancient barrels, arches and even a well, a museum in all but name, telling a story written, quite literally, in the archives.

Dressed in ancient dark beams and stucco decorations, the tasting room is the right place for an up-close encounter with the wines. Gregoletto wines are a fine expression of the quality of the grapes they grow and the solid knowledge they put into it. And it shows: as little autoclave as possible, so the taste comes through clean, almost naked. Nor does it stop there. Gregoletto also experiments with skin contact on bottle-refermented wines, producing a col fondo like no other. A tasting at Gregoletto? Tradition, with a twist.
