Special winery events are the way to step into it: the deepest part of these hills and the people who work them, the culture of the land, traditions handed down for generations, and the odd, delightful meetings between local food and faraway places.
From this page you can take a front-row seat at evenings you will not find anywhere else: experiences where wine keeps company with astronomy, poetry, folk storytelling, painting and theatre. Alongside what individual wineries organise, the calendar of these hills has its own fixed points: the Primavera del Prosecco Superiore, the spring wine festivals held in the hill villages from March to June; Cantine Aperte, the national open-cellar day in May; Calici di Stelle, the tastings held on the August nights of the Perseid meteor shower; the Prosecco village festivals; and the September harvest. 69° Spiedo Gigante
La manifestazione si sviluppa nell’arco di tre fine settimana consecutivi, ciascuno caratterizzato da un appuntamento speciale capace di unire tradizione, spettacolo e convivialità. Si parte con la 6ª Gara degli Spiedi, un appuntamento all’insegna della passione e della sfida, dove abilità e tradizione si incontrano. La seconda domenica sarà invece dedicata alla 42ª edizione del tradizionale Tiro alla Fune, una competizione che coinvolge squadre e pubblico in un’atmosfera di grande entusiasmo e partecipazione. A chiudere il calendario sarà il momento più atteso: il 69° Spiedo Gigante, una tradizione che da decenni rappresenta uno dei simboli della manifestazione e che richiama ogni anno numerosi visitatori. A fare da filo conduttore a tutti gli appuntamenti saranno musica dal vivo, spettacoli e intrattenimento, per vivere la festa anche oltre i suoi momenti più tradizionali.

When is Calici di Stelle held in Conegliano Valdobbiadene?
Calici di Stelle is a nationwide event run by the Movimento Turismo del Vino on the August nights of the Perseid meteor shower, around 10 August, with evening tastings in wineries and village squares. Dates and participating wineries change from year to year: what our partner wineries put on appears here as soon as booking opens.
What are Cantine Aperte and the Primavera del Prosecco?
Cantine Aperte is Italy's open-cellar day, usually the last Sunday in May, when wineries open their doors to visitors. The Primavera del Prosecco Superiore is the season of wine fairs held in the hill villages of Conegliano Valdobbiadene from March to June. Both belong to the whole territory: partner wineries take part with their own bookable events.
How do I book a winery event?
Every event is booked through Prosecconow: browse the proposals, choose, and book. Tapping an experience opens a pre-filled WhatsApp message; press send and the winery replies the same day. Places are almost always limited, so it is worth booking ahead. Anything specific about how a booking is confirmed is written on the event's own card.
Can you have dinner in the vineyard in the Prosecco DOCG?
Yes. Several partner wineries hold dinners in the vineyard and among the rows during the warm months, often together with local restaurants and chefs. Seats are limited: these evenings appear on this page when booking opens.
Are there events for cyclists and walkers?
Conegliano Valdobbiadene is a favourite with cyclists, and wineries often work with sports groups so that a ride ends with a tasting. Guided walks between the rows are among the most requested experiences of the warmer half of the year.
